Whilst relaxing one dark dreary night contemplating on my project at hand, " the power of many " was at the forefront of my mind. Many what?.. i was thinking and then like a bright and shining star my idea was born... Binary Code!. Knowing the basics of what it was i made enquires of how to use it in my project. Binary Code is made up of 1s and 0s eight digits long and then a space. The varying in shade difference is very slight so this wasn't effective enough for my eye. This is where ASCII came in. Its made up of varying symbols and dots each giving a different degree of shade. A picture of my eye was uploaded into ASCII program and then moved into Photo shop to make alterations to it and finally printed on 64 A4 pages. It was a slow process and eye straining at times! although when joined together became a large piece of what i believe is impressive work. Below are images of construction and the finished piece.
